Established in 1999,
Powell Studios specializes in elegant murals, trompe l’oeil,
and decorative faux finishes. They have also branched out successfully
to painted furniture and tumbled tile backsplashes. The owner, Karen
Powell, has a degree in interior design and fine art, which is a perfect
blend of talents for her chosen profession.
The wide variety
of their artistic skills allows the Studio’s projects to range
from a brightly colored, whimsical children’s room, to a subtle
and sophisticated mural reminiscent of an old European painting.
With their extended knowledge of the products available today and
their expertise in using them, Powell Studio and it’s artists
have applied decorative techniques over a variety of different and
sometimes unexpected surfaces - countertops, wrought iron, and sinks!
